Grapeland, Texas is the Home of East Texas
Peanut Festival.
Since 1945 Grapeland
has celebrated an annual Peanut Festival. For the first six years
of its life, Grapeland's Peanut Festival was known and nurtured as the annual
“Goober Carnival.”
